Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) perform the same duties, and are, essentially, synonyms for the same job function.  Some LVNs and LPNs continue advancement to become RNs, APNs, and even Nurse Executives. This is an excellent entry into the respected field of professional nursing.
